My TWD prediction is…Michonne

This is going to be quick and probably filled with typos, because I just realized I have like half an hour to get to my cousins to hate-watch TWD.

I don’t remember who I predicted would die at the end of last season…i think I said Glenn.

I am changing that based on this-

Stan Lee described the writing style in the early days of Marvel comics as ” the illusion of something happening”.  What is meant by that is- You have Spider-man He’s a kid with a secret identity who has super powers and fights crime, he has trouble paying his bills, and takes care of his aunt.  …One day Spidey sees the Green Gooblin robbing a bank, goes into battle, maybe Thor shows up and Hydra turns out to have hired the goblin, the two then fight Hydra, maybe go into space and fight them on a ship, someone throws a bus at someone else, the good guys win and when all the chaos and adventure is over you are back to square one— You have Spider-man He’s a kid with a secret identity who has super powers and fights crime, he has trouble paying his bills, and takes care of his aunt.

This seems to be the undercurrent of TWD as well. You have a bunch of people clusterf*cking around in a zombie apocalypse in constant danger.  The illusion of something happening being the undercurrent is why the government building blew up in season one…if it stayed standing, they would have been safe there and not back at square one.  It’s why the farm was overrun. Why the Prison was overrun, why the building fell into the wall in Alexandria.  Now, anyone with a brain would have just driven away from the farm and came back in a day after the zombies left, or rebuild the prison wall, or for that matter just rebuilt and moved into the governors old town…but if you write it like that you are not back at square one- a bunch of people clusterf*cking around in a zombie apocalypse in constant danger.

So the question here is not who Negan killing would change the show, but who Negan NOT killing would change the show.  The big change last season was Rick and Michone getting together.  If that continues you no longer have- a bunch of people clusterf*cking around in a zombie apocalypse in constant danger.  You have a FAMILY.  Sure Glenn and Maggie may pump out a kid but Rick and Michone would be a mom and a dad with two kids…that’s the foundation for a fucking sitcom, not an horror/action show.  AND, Rick is the leader and the head clusterf*cker-upper.  If his life is given stability then square one is way off in the rear view mirror.

If Michonne dies you are right back at square one. If she lives, you are not.  The show would then have an obvious solid core three Characters- Rick Michone, and…the kid with the hat, I forget his name and don’t have time to look it up.  And the dynamic of Rick as the leader is changed because he and Michone would be in a relationship in which the family comes first and so do each other.

Carl! that’s his name. How could I forget that?

So…That’s my prediction, for whatever it’s worth. Michonne is the one who is killed. Heartbreaking, but that is the “misery porn” that is this dumb show.

Of course the real question is how long are we going to have to suffer through watch Carol and what’s his name diddlef*ck around before we see who Negan brained…I say 10 full minutes.
