The Holidays can be a real punch in the groin. I’ve found that staying busy can help. No problems there this year, I’ve had my hands full preparing for and going to a Comic-con In the Netherlands, and have come home to a big fat burning deadline…so I haven’t had the time to be as f’n miserable as I normally am.
As for everyone else, there is an Arsenic Lullaby X-mas coloring contest going on. I put no small effort into putting it together this year ( as previous years were a big hit even though I half ass-ed it). I got a cool sponsor, talked my fellow comic book pro buddies into judging, and as of noe there have been 170 downloads of the card you can color to send in and…THREE ACTUAL ENTRIES.
Seems to me last year eveyone waited til the last minute too, but that’s not really serving the purpose of this contest. See, aside FB and who watch the A.L. homepage enjoy seeing the colored cards come in and pick their favorites. SO waiting until the last minute throws a monkey wrench into this. I ain’t going through all this just to give sh*t away. I…and YOU …are giving spectators something to watch. AND I like watching them come in…you’re ruing my X-mas. When they come in as the season goes along it’s fun. When they come in all it once at the end it’s a big pain in the ass.
Now get some F*cking crayons out and color some cards and send them in, so I can post them.
You can add some life to these can’t ya?
Or perhaps you are one of the thousands who …just like to watch…creep. Time for you to start putting in some effort. As I have mentioned, you can use photoshop, crayons, glitter, whatever, and creativity holds a lot of weight in the final decision.
