This weeks update
I'M NOT AT LIBERTY TO SAY AT THIS
TIME
Freelance work, mostly it's fun, but a drawback of it is I can't
usually show you what I'm working on...so it appears that large
chunks of my year I'm not doing anything. Sometimes the project
doesn't see the light of day for even a year or more. For
instance, the work I did for Comedy Central's TripTank.
I
did a short for their second season...don't know if it's out
yet, they didn't tell me. That probably seems odd, but
they had abut 8 cartoons per episode for a 20 episode series,
and they have other things to do besides let everyone of them
know when their particular short is going to air.
Sometimes things never see the light of day...like this
That pile is all the sketches, layouts and notes and finished
work for a 20 page story i was working on, it is some of the
best illustration work I've done so far...and it looks like it
will never see the light of day. THAT is a drag. Imagine
you were working on replacing the entire ignition system and
suspension of a Camaro for three weeks and one day a flatbed
just came in a towed it away while you were at lunch. Oh
well,...what can you do, you don't own this shop, you're just
filling in. You clean your tools and start on the next car.
As far as I know I can't show you any of it.
...Looks like a corner of a page is showing...let me save you
the trouble of zooming in.
That's good stuff.
Here's just a corner of a different
project...might be able to tell you about that soon.
Here's some illustrations of The Tick, I'll explain these some
other time, perhaps soon.
They
are also
HERE at the online store, in case you'd like to own them.
In case you were worried, I have also been
working on Arsenic Lullaby stuff, and the upside of these side
projects is...I've been getting quality things done at a pretty
good clip in 2017. Should be a productive year.
That's all ...for now...
